Promoting an environment for these businesses to thrive is important to Bray and we are taking steps to accomplish this by fostering an inclusive procurement process that provides the maximum practical opportunity for small and diverse businesses to participate as partners and suppliers of goods and services. An additional benefit of ensuring that these suppliers are included in the procurement process is increased competition, which leads to lower costs and increased levels of innovation, service, and product quality. By utilizing and partnering with small and diverse companies, Bray will continue to build a supplier base that contributes to our competitive advantage. In addition to small businesses, Bray is interested in engaging with businesses that fall into one or more of the following diversity categories:

• Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE)
• Woman-owned Business Enterprises (WBE)
• Disability-owned Business Enterprises
• Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB)
• Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB Zone)
• Veteran-owned Businesses (VBE)
• Service-disabled Veteran-owned Businesses (SDVBE)

These businesses must be at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by persons who fit into one of these categories. MBE, WBE, and SDVOB businesses must be certified as such by an independent certification agency. Owners of businesses that fall into the other categories must be willing to sign a self-certification affidavit.

Incorporating a classification system for all approved suppliers designed to monitor and track all associated spend from those suppliers who meet the diverse supplier criteria and are classified as such. Providing all Bray personnel who are involved in the acquisition of goods and services adequate tools and training to enhance their understanding of and ability to meet Bray's supplier diversity goals and objectives. Establishing reasonable and attainable goals consistent with applicable country diversity guidelines and Bray's policies and practices in order that qualified, competitive diverse suppliers are given fair opportunity and consideration to participate in the procurement of goods and services. All Bray Procurement personnel shall use good faith best efforts to include small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned small, veteran owned small, service disabled veteran owned small, and HUBZone small businesses for goods and services procured by Bray.
