Features & Benefits

Bray offers a state of the art modular designed self contained electro-hydraulic actuator, fully configurable to meet a wide range of valve services and applications. The actuator is optimized for direct mounting on Bray valves but also easily retrofits to a valve of your choice. The electro-hydraulic actuator comes with an efficient self-contained hydraulic power unit that can either be mounted directly onto the valve actuator body or supplied with its own floor stand to power a single or multiple hydraulic valve cylinders. The hydraulic power unit can operate with a flexible range of power options including a solar charged power pack for remote locations where the power supply choice is limited. Controlling a valve using hydraulic fluid offers several key advantages over using conventional pneumatic or electric gear operated actuators. These include high thrusts and torques, fast acting, failsafe using either a spring or stored energy accumulator, and the ability to precisely position a valve with accuracy and repeatability. The electro-hydraulic actuator utilizes a closed loop hydraulic pressure with zero exhaust emissions that are common with pneumatic and natural gas powered actuators. Operating range from -50°F (-46°C) to 212°F (+100°C) ensures they will operate in the coldest outdoor environments to the hottest process applications.
